Competition Ammo | Fenix Ammo

Competition ammo either performs on the clock or it is just expensive practice. We load for the scorekeepers: a 9mm 147gr Match Grade guaranteed to make power factor out of any 4.25" or longer barrel or we refund your match fee, plus two .223/5.56 precision loads, the 75gr FXP HPBT, sub MOA tested at 400+ yards, and the 55gr FXP VMAX. All shot by our own sponsored competitors before they get shot by you.

Consistency You Can Chronograph

The Match Grade runs new brass and a slow burning extruded powder chosen for low recoil and tight standard deviation, then gets 100% hand inspected with precision cut gauges to run in tight custom pistols: STI, Cheeley Custom, Hayes Custom Guns. Matt Koopikka, Nick Molina, and Rick Birdsall run the same box you do.

Rifle Stages Covered Too

The 75gr HPBT (2,800 FPS from 18", .395 BC) knocks down steel with authority. The extra kinetic energy over 55gr virtually guarantees fewer shots on spinners and faster stage times. Twist 1:7 to 1:9 recommended. The 55gr VMAX covers lighter, faster stages with tipped projectile consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the Match Grade misses power factor at chrono?

It will not from a 4.25" or longer barrel. And if it somehow does, we refund your match fee. That is the guarantee.

What division ammo is this?

The 147gr Match Grade is USPSA certified at Minor (PF 130). The .40 180gr FMJ covers Major at PF 170 if you run Limited.

What should I run for rifle stages?

The 75gr FXP HPBT for precision and steel authority. The 55gr VMAX where speed and light targets rule. Faster twists favor the 75.
